Ghost on Delivery pt. 1

I had just moved to a new city, & for a few weeks had to deliver pizza for a franchised restaurant. I did not know my way around the city at all, & it had taken me a while to find the delivery destination. As I pull up to the house, I see very dim light coming from the second floor of what appeared to be a duplex. I walk into the yard & see a staircase on the side of the house. As I take my second step up the stairs, I start to think "How in the world has nobody fallen through these old, rotten, & very dangerous stairs?'. With every step they creak, crack & straight up sound like I'm gonna fall through at any moment. Finally, & with a great, deep breath of relief, I reach the landing & knock on the door....
